Regional Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan

The North Central Wis. Regional Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan is an effort to improve biking & walking by identifying routes and describing policies/programs to help local governments improve biking & walking, and promote connectivity between communities.

The Project's Purpose:
  • Implement the Regional Livability Plan.
  • Identify priority regional routes for safe and convenient bicycle and pedestrian travel.
  • Recommend context sensitive bicycle and pedestrian improvements to support bicycling and walking in North Central Wisconsin.
  • Build bicycle and pedestrian planning capacity in the region.
  • Improve livability and enhance tourism.
Cyclists and other interested persons can provide input by contacting the Regional Planning Commission, by participating in a mapping activity, and/or by taking a survey on the Commission's website.

The region includes the counties of Adams, Forest, Juneau, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Vilas, and Wood Counties.
