Park Dedication Ceremony April 7

As the 100-year anniversary of America’s entrance into the first World War nears, a community-wide observance is planned for Noon on Friday, April 7. The City will dedicate a park along the Wisconsin River in honor of Vice Admiral Albert Weston Grant.

Vice Admiral Grant was a Stevens Point resident and distinguished naval officer.

On behalf of the Portage County Historical Society and the City of Stevens Point, please accept our invitation to attend the park dedication ceremony with Admiral Grant’s family members.

The dedication will take place along the Wisconsin River, just south of the Clark St. bridge.
